Conduit System E

Also known as Electrical metallic tubing (EMT), sometimes called thin-wall, is commonly used instead of galvanized rigid conduit (GRC), as it is less costly and lighter than GRC. Electrical Metallic Tubing itself may not be threaded, but can be used with threaded fittings that clamp to it. Lengths of conduit are connected to each other and to equipment with clamp-type fittings. Like Galvanized Rigid Conduit, Electrical metallic tubing is more common in commercial and industrial buildings.

Conduit System G

Also known as Galvanized rigid conduit (GRC), is a galvanized steel tubing, with a tubing wall that is thick enough to allow it to be threaded. Lengths of conduit are connected to each other and to equipment with threaded-type fittings. Mostly used for its easy to connect installation. Its common applications are in commercial and industrial construction.

Raceways are enclosed channels of metallic (rigid steel or aluminum) materials designed to hold, hide, and protect wires and cables you don't want hanging and exposed out on walls or ceilings. Cable Raceways can be installed below the floor, above the ground, along a wall, or dropped from the ceiling. Most wire raceways can be painted for a customized or matching look.
